About Monika
Since moving to Brisbane in 2014, Austrian flautist, Monika Koerner has established herself as a sought-after chamber musician, soloist, and orchestral musician. She regularly appears as principal flute with Camerata - Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra, and has been a guest artist with Ensemble Q, Southern Cross Soloists, and QSO Chamber Players.
Having spent her early career in Europe, Monika’s teaching is inspired by her experiences learning from Emily Beynon (Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam), Wolfgang Schulz (former principal flute Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra) and Aurele Nicolet (20th century virtuoso), amongst others. It’s Monika’s great pleasure to share these methods, and her passion, to help guide you on your musical journey.
