Ensemble Trivium is a dynamic collective of Brisbane’s leading musicians,
performing chamber music centred around the flute.
Renowned for their imaginative, vibrant programming and inspired combinations of instruments,
Ensemble Trivium performs traditional and contemporary chamber repertoire, including commissions of new works and has a passion for unearthing hidden gems. The ensemble mainly performs in the combinations of flute and string trio, flute and string quartet, flute, strings & piano, flute, strings & harp, with the occasional inclusion of percussion.
In 2017/18, Ensemble Trivium was awarded two Arts Queensland grants for their project “Locally Sourced,” which saw the world premiere of five newly commissioned pieces by well known Brisbane composers.
“Locally Sourced” delighted audiences with a unique fusion of jazz and classical elements with performances at
ABC Brisbane, Redland Performing Arts Centre, and Music By the Sea Series in Sandgate.
